Saloni Sharma

I’m an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Informatics with a concentration in Human-Centered Data Science and a minor in Computer Science. I’ve been a member of the REALITY Lab since my sophomore year, where I’ve been involved in projects exploring the role of artificial intelligence in higher education. Currently, I’m working on my capstone project, which examines how faculty and students across STEM and humanities disciplines perceive and engage with AI, with the goal of identifying more responsible and inclusive approaches to implementation in academic settings. I’m also a Cybersecurity Fellow at the Strauss Center for International Security and Law, where I support under-resourced communities in strengthening their cybersecurity practices. Outside of research, I hold leadership roles in Texas Convergent and Texas Angels and enjoy building digital tools that promote accessibility and social impact.
